1. Favorite New Years eve you’ve had before

I don't guess that I really have a favorite.  We usually just have snacks and play games and watch the ball drop.

 

2. Are you doing anything for NYE this year and if so what?

We are going out to eat and then come home and play games.  December 31 would have been my brother, Charlie's, 30th birthday.  He went home to be with the Lord in April 2012. 

 

3. Name a book we should all read come January?

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

 

4. What are your new years resolutions?

To read more both in the bible and books in general

To blog at least 5 days a week. 

To do cardio at least 5 days a week

Weekend Update Blog Hop

This weekend I didn't do a lot.  I stayed in all weekend and watched old movies and shows that I had dvr'd.  I watched the ones that Chad doesn't really care to watch ie Intervention, Hoarders, RHWBH, and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.  I love that show.  They act like they genuinely love each other. 

My mom came over some this weekend and we had a good time together.  She comes in and the furkids just go crazy trying to see who can get her attention first.  Just like human kids.

I started reading a different book "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn.  I hope it is good.  I've heard mixed reviews on it.

I can't wait to give Chad his present tomorrow.  Nothing big, it's just that he has no idea.

"It's Ok" Thursday

It's OK Thursday

It's ok that I am blogging about my day at 7:30pm because I took a nap all afternoon because I had transplant clinic this morning

It's ok that I'm not use to getting up at 5:45 to get ready to leave to get in traffic.

It's ok that everyone asked me if I was driving myself today...I guess that is how tired I looked LOL

It's ok that I miss my dad and now my brother, Charlie, around the Holidays

It's ok that even though my title is Holly Enjoying Life some days just aren't good days

It's ok that I show my true feelings sometimes on my blog

It's ok that I am overly excited to have turned 35 yesterday

It's ok that I don't want to cook anything for Christmas and would rather order it all already made

It's ok that I'm going to go to bed early so that I can get up for pulmonary rehab in the morning

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Today I went to pulmonary rehab this morning.  I started going again about a month ago.  I did 17 mins. of cardio (which is good for me) so I was proud of myself.  I usually do anywhere from 10-15 mins.  My oxygen saturation was even staying up even though I am on 2 liters of O2.  It had been dropping down into the 80 with the 2 liters but now its staying up there in the upper 90s.  I am really wanting to get my lung function built back up where I don't have to wear the oxygen anymore.  It's not really my lung function that is down it is the small airways that are closing off.  I still would like to get off of the oxygen all the time.  At least I can still get out and do things. 

I am so excited about tomorrow.  It's my 35th birthday!!! Yay!!!  Chad, my mom, and I are going to go out to eat to celebrate and then come home and have cookie cake from Great American Cookie Co.  YUM!!!  We also got a  movie (That's My Boy)to watch tomorrow.

I got a Tea Chest from my cousin, because I love to drink tea (hot or cold).

I got some lounge pants from Chad (because that is what I spend most of my days in).  I also got some camera stuff from my mom.  I love my camera.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow.  I will not be posting tomorrow to honor those who lost their lives in Newtown, CT.

I don't guess that I have one thing that I would eliminate.

I usually cry it out.  I rarely get angry my feelings just get hurt!

Christmas is my favorite Holiday because it's Jesus's birthday!!!

Weekend Update

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I had a great weekend.  I didn't get out much this weekend but I did do some shopping on the internet of course.  Just about everywhere is giving free shipping with a certain amount purchased.

I am still on the look out for a good planner.  Do any of you have any suggestions?  I would love to hear them.

Yesterday was kind of a hard day for me.  It was my dads birthday.  He would have been 64 years old.  He passed away in February 2010.  They say it gets easier with each day but I still think of him all the time and miss him like crazy.  I will always be a daddy's girl!!!  I Love You Dad!!!

I don't do any volunteering during the holidays because of my inmune system but if I could I would volunteer at a homeless shelter.

I received Cricket the talking doll one year for Christmas and I was so excited.

Stereo for my bedroom

Chad usually works on Christmas Eve, so we really don't do anything, however sometimes we play board games, or cards.

We really don't have any Holiday traditions.  I guess we should start some.  As a kid we use to go over to my grandparents house and eat Thanksgiving dinner and then put up the Christmas tree.  That was always fun.
